This semester I experienced the biggest shock. I came into the ENG102 class thinking that it would consist of long boring books, and having to write massive essays. Thankfully it was very fun. I not only enjoyed the multimedia aspect of it but I have learned a lot of new things. I have learned how to use blogs, videos, and find valid research. My favorite blog series was the Coraline series. The reason I liked it so much was because it was broken down to many parts. The professor wanted specific things so when reading you already knew what exactly you were looking for. I also learned about detail literature information and how it relates to real life personalities, like the archetypes. The archetypes were very interesting assignments it made writing about it so relatable and enjoyable. The professor was never in a bad mood, which helped me so much since I have never been so involved with computers. He was always was available for advice and questions and that was a great attribute.
The most interesting blog entry in this class has to be from one of my group member’s named Thibault. His blog entry was very original. He made a video explaining his supernatural being that was some kind of wolf/monster who killed many people. His video was very comedic and very informative. Also he had drawings, speech, and the actual research all put in the video. He also explained the myths. If I were as computer savvy, I would’ve loved to make a video. Due to the final assignment I learned how to use PowerPoint for the first time. I’m a fine arts major and never needed to use that until this assignment. Now I feel more comfortable with the software and computers in general. Its all because of ENG102 so I owe a big thanks to this specific class/professor for that.
